Job summary

Monadelphous Group is seeking an experienced Leading Hand – Mechanical Fitter in the Gladstone region. The permanent position involves leading a team, coordinating daily tasks, and delivering maintenance and project support on a rotating day/night shift roster.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate and demonstrable Leading hand experience are required.
• Current High Risk Work License is desirable.
• Rigging Intermediate or Advanced ticket desirable.
• Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry training within 2 years is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and right to work in Australia required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Mechanical Fitters to safely complete shutdown activities.
• Coordinate daily work activities and allocate tasks to team members.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance, installation and repair activities.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements and site procedures.
• Conduct inspections, fault finding and mechanical repairs on fixed plant and equipment.

Monadelphous are currently seeking an experienced and local Leading Hand – Mechanical Fitter. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering maintenance and project support to our client in the Gladstone region. This is a permanent position available with some overtime opportunities on a rotating Day and Night Shift Roster
