Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Leading Hand – Mechanical Fitter to oversee shutdown activities and coordinate a team of fitters on site in the Gladstone region. This permanent role offers full-time hours with overtime opportunities and a safety-focused, collaborative culture.

The ideal candidate has proven leadership in mechanical fitting, a valid driver’s license, and rights to work in Australia. Local to the Gladstone region and available for day/night shifts on a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leading hand experience.
• Current High Risk Work License (desired).
• Rigging intermediate/advanced ticket (desired).
• Working at Heights training (within 2 years).
• Confined Space Entry training (within 2 years).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.
• Local to the Gladstone Region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Mechanical Fitters to safely and efficiently complete shutdown activities.
• Coordinate daily work activities and allocate tasks to team members.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance, installation and repair activities.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements and site procedures.
• Conduct inspections, fault finding and mechanical repairs on fixed plant and equipment.
