Job summary

Horsham Rural City Council is seeking an experienced Waste Management Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Landfill Group in the municipality of Horsham, Victoria. The role involves coordinating disposal collection activities, rostering staff, and ensuring safe, compliant waste practices.

The successful candidate will have broad waste management knowledge, EPA guideline familiarity, a current driver's licence and plant operation licences, with first aid skills valued.

Job Description

This position is operational and also includes responsibility for supervision of the day-to-day activities of the Landfill Group which implement domestic and where necessary, industrial and litter waste disposal collection by the operation of disposal collection vehicles and other duties as rostered as part of the Waste Section.

The position also has a strong compliance focus, including compliance with EPA legislation and guidelines.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will have broad waste management knowledge/experience and knowledge and understanding of EPA guidelines and waste management practices. A current driver's licence and plant operation licences/certification are also required. First aid skills are valued.
