Job summary

Programmed / PERSOLKELLY seeks a hands-on Leading Hand for grain operations at a Birchip site. You will oversee day-to-day receivals, storage, and outturn, guiding staff and contractors to maintain safety and efficiency.

You will train teams, monitor grain quality and inventory, and assist with rostering and maintenance. Flexibility for nights or weekends and to travel to other sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising people and delivering practical on-the-job training.
• Hands-on approach with strong safety mindset and ability to adapt as site priorities change.
• Current driver’s licence, Confined Space certificate and Level 2 First Aid certificate.
• Availability to work outdoors and flexible hours, including nights or weekends, and to assist at other sites.
• Experience in grain handling or operating equipment would be advantageous.

We're seeking a hands-on Site Leading Hand to help run safe, efficient operations at a grain storage site in Birchip. You'll work alongside the team each day, guide staff and contractors, and step up to support site supervision during busy periods.

Train and supervise staff and contractors in safe work practices and equipment operation.

Help maintain grain quality, inventory controls and site safety standards.

Support rostering, operational planning and equipment maintenance.

Take responsibility for site operations when the Site Supervisor is away.

What you'll bring

Experience supervising people and delivering practical, on-the-job training.

A hands-on approach, sound safety judgement and the ability to adapt as site priorities change.

A current driver's licence, Confined Space certificate and Level 2 First Aid certificate.
