Job summary

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of its transmission and distribution power networks at Cape Preston. This permanent 2/1 FIFO position from Perth requires strong HV switching and maintenance skills to ensure reliable power delivery.

Responsibilities include HV switching, network operations, fault diagnostics, and contributing to safe practices on high voltage infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Essential).
• High Voltage Switching Ticket.
• Minimum 3 years power network operations or maintenance experience.
• Current WA Manual Driver’s Licence.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of our transmission and distribution power networks.

About the Role

This is a permanent 2/1 FIFO position from Perth to Cape Preston (continuous shift roster).

You will be responsible for:

• HV switching and network operations
• Operation and maintenance of HV equipment
• Fault finding and diagnostics on power systems
• Supporting reliable power generation and distribution
• Identifying improvements to plant systems and processes
• Ensuring safe operation of high voltage infrastructure

What We’re Looking For

To be successful you will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Essential)
• High Voltage Switching Ticket
• Experience in HV switching, isolation and operational procedures
• Knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers and protection systems
• Minimum 3 years power network operations or maintenance experience
• Current WA Manual Driver’s Licence
