Job summary

Recruitshop is partnering with a Sydney-based construction client in Brookvale, NSW, to hire a Leading Hand for on-site demolition work. The role oversees 5–10 labourers, coordinating interior strip-outs and demolition across multiple sites with a hands-on pace on site.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in construction, a valid driver’s licence, a current white card and excellent physical fitness. Immediate start and a competitive hourly rate apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience supervising 5-10 labourers on site.
• Knowledge of interior strip-outs and demolition is preferred.

About The Company

Our client is a growing construction company based in Brookvale, Sydney, that specialises in commercial strip-outs and detailed demolitions. Due to a recent phase of rapid growth, our client is looking fora Leading Hand to lead their on-site construction team. They are looking for experienced candidates who can contribute to their high standard of work and continue to build their company's reputation for excellent, effective and timely demolition services.

The Opportunity

The primary purpose of the Leading Hand position is to supervise 5-10 labourers and coordinate the different construction sites in a methodical manner whilst being hands-on to set the pace on site. The Labouring work is mainly interior strip-outs and detailed demolition.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry


• A valid driver's licence


• Current white card


• A high level of physical fitness
