Job summary

RecruitShop is seeking a Leading Hand for demolition and interior strip-outs in Sydney. You will supervise a crew of 5–10 labourers, coordinate on-site activities, and drive the pace of work with hands-on leadership.

Role requires a minimum of 3 years in construction, a valid driver’s license, and a current White Card. The work is site-based across Sydney with overtime as applicable and potential for a work vehicle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Valid driver’s licence is required.
• Current White Card is essential.
• Good level of physical fitness and stamina.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 5–10 labourers on site and coordinate multiple worksites.
• Lead interior strip-outs and detailed demolition tasks.
• Set the pace on site through hands-on supervision and safe practices.

About The Company

Our client is a growing construction company based in Brookvale, Sydney, that specialises in commercial strip-outs and detailed demolitions. Due to a recent phase of rapid growth, our client is looking fora Leading Hand to lead their on-site construction team. They are looking for experienced candidates who can contribute to their high standard of work and continue to build their company's reputation for excellent, effective and timely demolition services.

The Opportunity

The primary purpose of the Leading Hand position is to supervise 5-10 labourers and coordinate the different construction sites in a methodical manner whilst being hands-on to set the pace on site. The Labouring work is mainly interior strip-outs and detailed demolition.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry


• A valid driver's licence


• Current white card


• A high level of physical fitness
