Job summary

Tailored Homes, a Sydney-based custom home design and construction company, is seeking a hands-on Leading Hand to support Site Managers across multiple luxury residential projects in Greater Sydney.

The role requires initiative, reliability and the ability to take ownership of tasks on site. You will contribute to high-quality workmanship and ensure safety and efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential construction is essential.
• Leading Hand or supervisory experience is highly regarded.
• Good understanding of residential building processes and sequencing.
• Current White Card and valid driver’s licence required.
• Carpentry or other trade experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Managers with daily site operations and coordination.
• Carry out general construction and labouring duties across multiple projects.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe construction sites.
• Coordinate site deliveries, materials and equipment.
• Assist trades and subcontractors as required.
• Undertake minor carpentry, demolition, site preparation and general building works within your capabilities.
• Identify and report site issues, defects and safety concerns.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to Tailored Homes' quality standards.
• Work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Job description

Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of residential construction sites across Greater Sydney. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, demonstrates initiative and is comfortable taking responsibility on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Site Managers with daily site operations and coordination
• Carry out general construction and labouring duties across multiple projects
• Maintain clean, organised and safe construction sites
• Coordinate site deliveries, materials and equipment
• Assist trades and subcontractors as required
• Undertake minor carpentry, demolition, site preparation and general building works within your capabilities

About you
