Job summary

Kempe Engineering in Geelong, Australia, seeks a Workshop Supervisor to lead a trades team in overhauls, repairs and assembly. You will run the machine shop, supervise processes and liaise with client engineers to prioritise work and ensure quality and safety standards.

The role requires a Fitter and Turner qualification with machining, strong CNC experience, and proven leadership. You’ll mentor apprentices and contribute to continuous improvement in a high‑calibre, safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner including machining.
• Experience leading small work teams.
• Strong CNC machining experience.
• Proactive safety approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workshop machining, assembly and overhauls.
• Manage a team of trades personnel and supervise work orders.
• Ensure all works meet health, safety, environment and quality requirements.
• Liaise with client engineers on priorities and progress.
• Lead process improvements and support ISO accreditation.
