West Recruitment is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a heavy equipment repair and refurbishment operation in Kempsey. You will be hands-on on the tools while steering a small team to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.

In this role you will manage costs, coordinate inventory and workflow, drive productivity and maintain high safety standards in a busy workshop and yard setting.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in heavy diesel or mechanical discipline.
• Hands-on heavy equipment dismantling and refurbishment experience.
• Experience leading a workshop team and managing costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the workshop team to foster a safe, accountable culture.
• Hands-on dismantling, repair and refurbishment of heavy machinery.
• Manage parts, inventory and procurement, including identification.
• Oversee plant, equipment and site maintenance, ensuring safety and order.
• Drive cost control, productivity and efficiency to improve profitability.
• Identify operational improvements and report to management.
