Job summary

Resources Safety and Health Queensland – Redbank QLD is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead workshop staff across mechanical, electrical, fabrication, testing and research activities. You’ll oversee technically complex projects from design and fabrication through to installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a multidisciplinary workshop team
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics
• Proven track record delivering projects with safety and quality in mind

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary workshop team.
• Oversee fabrication, welding, mechanical and electrical workshop activities.
• Plan and prioritise competing projects with safety, quality and delivery in focus.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specs.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists and tradespeople to deliver practical solutions.
• Contribute to industrial response activities and emerging technologies including 3D laser scanning.
