Job summary

Gage Roads Freo is a busy high-volume craft brewery venue on Fremantle waterfront seeking a skilled pizza chef to own the pizza section, hand-stretch dough, manage a wood-fired oven, control stock and orders, and mentor junior staff.

You will lead a small team across kitchen and front-of-house, maintain high food hygiene standards, and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced service culture in a venue with strong local and tourist traffic.

Qualifications

• Experience producing high-quality, hand-stretched pizzas at volume
• Confidence on a wood-fired oven
• Strong food hygiene and record-keeping standards
• The ability to lead, train and develop those around you
• Calm under pressure and a genuine team-first attitude

Responsibilities

• Own the pizza section, hand-stretching dough, managing a wood-fired oven, controlling stock and ordering, keeping your section clean and compliant
• Lead and mentor your assistants, contributing to a strong team culture across kitchen and FOH
