Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking an experienced UG Senior Project Engineer to deliver underground capital and infrastructure projects safely, on schedule and within budget. The role oversees scoping, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to operations, with emphasis on underground mine infrastructure such as ventilation, dewatering and shaft/hoisting.

You will work with operations, technical services, contractors and consultants to ensure safe, integrated project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience delivering underground capital or infrastructure projects.
• Experience across scoping, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong budgeting, cost estimating and CAPEX exposure.
• Proven contractor management including tendering and performance review.
• Solid understanding of underground mine infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes, schedules and cost estimates for underground capital works.
• Manage contractors in the field, monitor progress, identify risks and implement recovery plans.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance with WHS Mines Regulations.
• Coordinate with operations, technical services and stakeholders to integrate with mine plan.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and ensure handover documentation is complete.
