Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Automation Lead for a Brisbane-based, 12-month contract focused on enterprise test automation across complex workflows. You will own the automation strategy, governance, and roadmaps, driving delivery through multiple vendors and teams.

You will lead hands-on automation work, review code, and mentor engineers while coordinating CI/CD integration and environment readiness. A strong background in Playwright/Tosca and cloud integrations is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in test automation and leading teams.
• Proven track record defining enterprise automation strategy and roadmaps.
• Strong programming/scripting proficiency in relevant languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, C# or Python).

Responsibilities

• Define, refine and implement enterprise automation strategy and operating model across BAU, Projects and Vendors.
• Maintain a prioritised implementation roadmap based on risk and delivery demand.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with reliable gates and evidence.
• Design and evolve scalable automation frameworks and reusable assets.
• Lead and mentor automation engineers across teams with hands-on guidance.
• Coordinate environment readiness, test data management and security considerations.
