Job summary

ProFound People is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join our defence-focused team in Adelaide on a permanent basis. You will lead systems engineering across the full product lifecycle and mentor a small team of engineers.

You will apply extensive experience in requirements engineering, ICDs, interfaces, V&V, and configuration management to deliver complex, high-performance defence systems, working closely with customers and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Systems Engineering role within Aerospace & Defence.
• Degree in Systems, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Strong requirements engineering: capture, decomposition, traceability, verification & change management.
• System integration, integration planning and V&V experience.
• Knowledge of ICDs and interface control.
• Experience with configuration and baseline management.
• Experience producing artefacts for SRR, PDR, CDR and acceptance.
• Leadership or mentoring experience in engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication.
• Australian Citizens eligible for Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Engineering across the full product lifecycle.
• Manage and mentor a small team of Systems Engineers.
• Capture and manage system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain ICDs and manage system interfaces.
• Support configuration management and baseline control.
• Produce and maintain systems engineering documentation and data packs.
• Prepare artefacts for SRR, PDR and CDR reviews.
• Work with customers and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on defence systems.
• Support continuous improvement and growth of the engineering function.
