Turnbull Engineering Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead primary design for HV/EHV substations up to 500 kV, supporting renewable energy, storage and transmission initiatives. You will set technical direction, sign off on designs and act as the client-facing authority on plant, layout and earthing.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of HV/EHV experience, 3–5+ years on Australian transmission projects, and proficiency with earthing standards, 3D design

Formación

• HV/EHV substation primary design experience (12+ years) and 3–5+ years on Australian transmission projects at 330 kV+.
• Proficient in AS 2067, AS/NZS 3000, AS 1768, IEEE80, ENA EG-0 and relevant IEC standards; familiar with TNSP requirements.
• Hands-on earthing studies using CDEGS or SafeGrid; familiarity with CAD and 3D substation design tools.
• Strong leadership, client liaison and ability to deliver designs to construction issue.

Responsabilidades

• Lead primary designs up to 500 kV transmission substations for renewables, storage and transmission projects.
• Sign off on designs and act as technical authority in design reviews and safety-in-design workshops.
• Produce and review single line diagrams, general arrangements and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with secondary, civil, structural and cable design to deliver an integrated package.
• Review vendor drawings, FAT documentation and technical submissions; mentor junior engineers.
