Job summary

SSI SCHAEFER’s ALDI project in Bradfield, Western Sydney, delivers a major warehouse automation steelwork package. We seek an experienced Project Manager with a strong steelwork delivery background to lead engineering coordination, fabrication and installation through handover.

You will manage steelwork site supervisors across fronts and coordinate with local and international specialists to align milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience managing steelwork from engineering and fabrication through to installation and handover.
• Strong ability to lead site supervisors and manage specialist installation subcontractors.
• Excellent planning and commercial skills including budgeting, forecasting, variations and contractor performance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and coordinate practical solutions.
• Solid understanding of Australian construction safety requirements and high-risk steelwork activities.
• Clear communication, practical judgement and ability to coordinate people across disciplines and locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan steelwork delivery to align with engineering, fabrication and material availability for installation.
• Lead Steelwork Installation Site Supervisors across concurrent fronts with clear priorities and support.
• Coordinate interfaces with building works, other contractors and automated warehouse equipment.
• Manage progress, costs, risks and changes; resolve constraints and keep the project team informed.
• Embed safety and quality into planning and delivery through to inspection, acceptance and handover.
