Job summary

The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced academic to join the Discipline of Speech Pathology as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor. The role focuses on teaching, research, and professional engagement, with opportunities for leadership and curriculum renewal.

Senior candidates may take on strategic leadership within the team and Faculty. Collaboration with industry partners and professional bodies will be a key part of the role, both locally and internationally.

Qualifications

• PhD in Speech Pathology or closely related field.
• Current eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Ability to contribute to teaching, research and engagement at scale.

Responsibilities

• Support curriculum renewal and development across the Masters program.
• Lead innovative teaching delivery and high‑quality classroom and clinical teaching.
• Drive impactful research strengthening the profession and community outcomes.
• Foster partnerships with industry, professional associations and government stakeholders.
• Provide strategic leadership for the Discipline of Speech Pathology (Level C & D).
• Mentor and support academic staff to improve teaching and research outcomes.
