Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a Sous Chef for the Australian Open campaign, delivering premium hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

You will support the Head Chef, supervise the kitchen team, ensure exceptional food quality and presentation, and uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards while delivering memorable guest experiences. Shifts run evenings, weekends and public holidays; this casual role offers variety and exposure to high-volume service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
• Flexible availability across evenings, weekends, and public holidays during the Australian Open campaign.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations and service delivery.
• Supervise and mentor chefs and kitchen team members.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet premium hospitality standards.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
• Contribute to a high-performing team delivering exceptional guest experiences.
