Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a Sous Chef for the Australian Open campaign, delivering premium hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

You will support the Head Chef, supervise the kitchen team, ensure exceptional food quality and presentation, and uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards while delivering memorable guest experiences. Shifts run evenings, weekends and public holidays; this casual role offers variety and exposure to high-volume service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
• Flexible availability across evenings, weekends, and public holidays during the Australian Open campaign.

Responsibilities

These are casual contract roles that will commence from Octoberunless otherwise communicated. Please note that commencement of employment does not guarantee shifts from this date. Shifts will be allocated in line with operational requirements, with rostering for the Australian Open campaign commencing closer to the event. All onboarding and training will be provided prior to commencement.
