Job summary

ASX in Australia is seeking a Solution Architect for ASX Markets to design and evolve core systems supporting trading, market operations and regulatory obligations. You will lead architecture across large-scale programs, collaborate with engineering, delivery, IT and QA teams, and ensure alignment with the Enterprise IT Strategy while driving high performance and low latency in critical platforms.

The role requires strong communication with stakeholders, experience in hybrid (legacy/cloud)

Qualifications

• Experience in mission-critical, high transaction environments.
• Experience in markets trading within financial services.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to explain tech to customers.
• Stakeholder management and engagement with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with hybrid (legacy/cloud) architecture environments.
• Experience with full SDLC using traditional and agile methods.
• Experience in developing Non-Functional Requirements for solutions.
• B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve core systems that support trading, market operations and regulatory obligations.
• Lead design and development of solution architecture across large-scale projects and governance forums.
• Provide technical leadership in solution designs and documentation.
• Collaborate across Business Analysis, Delivery, Infrastructure, IT Service Ownership, Quality Engineering, Solution Engineering and Testing.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise IT Strategy and architecture principles.
• Work with Engineering to ensure systems align with architectural strategy and software integrity.
