Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager in Melbourne to lead a multi-disciplinary software group within the Maritime Division. You will own end-to-end software delivery for autonomous systems, coordinating across engineering, hardware, and product teams to achieve roadmap milestones.

You will mentor 10-24 engineers, manage budgets, and drive development processes, architecture choices, and risk management while collaborating with executives and end-users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a senior management position within a high performing tech org.
• Extensive software engineering experience across domains and tech stacks.
• Ability to lead a holistic software platform spanning multiple products.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary software group of 10-24 engineers; mentor others.
• Design and deliver on a multi-year software roadmap across products.
• Manage architecture, compute/storage/network, service orchestration.
• Drive development processes, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Manage budget, risk, and stakeholder expectations; report to leadership.
• Collaborate with end-users and co-located teams up to 20% travel.
