Job summary

Australian Retirement Trust is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide design, development and support of our application solutions across Australia. You will mentor developers, review code, and help set standards and architecture aligned to ART's strategy.

The role is permanent and based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, with a mix of in-person and remote work. You will collaborate with technical leads and delivery teams to deliver secure, maintainable software and drive continuous

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
Experience leading and mentoring developers within complex technology environments.
Strong software development expertise with relevant platform tools.
Comfort reviewing code and designs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and problem management skills.
Strong communication to consult with business, technical and supplier stakeholders.
Experience delivering IT services meeting business expectations and reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance across design, development and support of ART’s applications.
Lead code/design reviews to ensure secure, high-quality software.
Set standards for tools, techniques, security guidelines and development methods.
Contribute to architectural decisions and align with ART’s technical strategy.
Mentor and train team members and handle on-call support when needed.
