Job summary

Deakin University in Geelong is seeking two full-time, continuing Lecturers in Social Work within the School of Health and Social Development. You will lead unit teaching teams, contribute to curriculum design, and enhance student learning outcomes across UG and PG programs.

Successful candidates will hold a PhD or Master’s in a relevant field, be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and demonstrate an excellent record of teaching and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• PhD or a Masters in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
• Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design

Responsibilities

• Lead unit teaching teams and collaborate with other unit teaching teams to develop curricula and learning resources.
• Apply industry, clinical and/or research practice to student learning experiences.
• Develop assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level with timely feedback to learners.
• Provide academic support to students and guide them to appropriate support services.
