Job summary

Deakin University in Geelong is seeking a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum development and build an emerging research profile within the School of Health and Social Development.

You will deliver teaching across occupational therapy units, design learning resources and assessments, publish research and engage with industry and community partners while supporting student success and inclusion. A PhD and AHPRA registration are required.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience and current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• At least three years of professional occupational therapy practice.
• Demonstrated capability in delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to curriculum design.
• An emerging track record of research, publications or scholarly outputs.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, including understanding of First Nations perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across occupational therapy units.
• Design and develop curriculum, learning resources and assessments aligned to discipline standards.
• Build an emerging research profile through publications, projects and funding applications.
• Contribute to academic service, program delivery and industry and community engagement.
