Job summary

Big Rock Brewing is launching a brand-new kitchen in the Rockhampton CBD and is seeking a chef to lead the kitchen. The menu focuses on smoked foods, gourmet burgers, wings and ribs, paired with great beer, with an emphasis on staying tight, consistent and profitable.

You’ll own a compact kitchen, handle prep, stock control and food safety, refine the menu and cater functions for up to 150 guests, keeping service, prep and production organised.

• Preparing smoked meats including brisket, pulled pork, ribs, sausages and chicken wings.

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen and keeping service, prep and production organised.

Big Rock Brewing is looking for a chef to take the reins of our brand-new brewery kitchen. We're an independent craft brewery in the Rockhampton CBD launching our new kitchen. The concept is simple: great smoked food, gourmet burgers and sandwiches, wings, ribs and proper beer food, done really well. We're not looking to build a huge, complicated restaurant menu. We want a chef who can help us keep the menu tight, consistent and profitable while putting their own stamp on it.
