Job summary

Mars Recruitment is seeking an experienced Team Leader for Settlements & Corporate Actions in Australia. This hands-on leadership role supports onshore and offshore teams across ANZ, resolving complex issues and maintaining strong client service delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in custody or asset servicing, with solid knowledge of settlements and corporate actions, plus experience leading teams and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within financial services within custody, securities services or asset servicing.
• Strong experience across securities settlements and corporate actions.
• Understanding of Australian and/or New Zealand market operations.
• Experience working across onshore and offshore teams.
• Strong problem-solving, reconciliation and operational risk skills.
• Capability to manage escalations and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Previous experience leading, coaching or developing team members.
• Proactive and collaborative approach with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of Settlements and Corporate Actions teams.
• Act as senior point of contact for operational queries and escalations.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members to build capability.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and internal stakeholders to maintain service delivery.
• Oversee issues, reconciliations and controls; ensure resolutions.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation and system projects.
• Support market, regulatory and client-related requirements.
• Assist with broader team leadership and development initiatives.
