AFTRS in Sydney is seeking a Discipline Lead BA Production to drive curriculum development and oversee teaching within the BA Production program. You will connect students with contemporary screen practice and industry networks, ensuring safe, inclusive student experiences.

The role emphasizes teaching leadership, program governance, and academic quality across production disciplines, with responsibilities including coordination of a teaching team and industry liaison.

Formación

• Ability to meet the requirements of the Academic Employees Qualifications Policy.
• Substantial recent professional experience in screen production and current industry practices.
• Demonstrated capacity to teach in Higher Education or similarly high level industry contexts.
• Proven collaboration and inclusion in co-creating curriculum and productions.
• Leadership with evidence of strategic management and staff supervision.
• Understanding of future industry trends and curriculum strategy.
• General management ability and use of teaching materials and learning software.
• Commitment to academic quality and student support.

Responsabilidades

• Lead curriculum development and keep the program industry-current.
• Develop subject outlines and assessments aligned to learning outcomes.
• Teach and assess within the workload while monitoring student progress.
• Lead, coach and manage the teaching team and recruit/induct lecturers.
• Coordinate with Production to support safe, timely student projects and approvals.
• Deliver within budgets, resources and timelines; use feedback to improve delivery.
• Undertake other duties to support AFTRS as required.
