Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a Lead Scheduler to spearhead client-side schedules across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects in Sydney. You’ll mentor a small team, stay hands-on, and partner with project and contractor teams to identify risks and drive reliable delivery using Primavera P6 and best-practice controls.

The role requires strong leadership, governance, and advanced Excel capability, with collaboration across cost, risk and commercial teams to enable defensible reporting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline with a recognised Project Management certification.
• Strong leadership experience in scheduling across multiple complex schedules.
• Deep expertise in Primavera P6 and scheduling principles with governance controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance and analysis of client-side schedules with robust logic and forecasting.
• Manage end-to-end monthly schedule updates and contractor interfaces with governance.
• Provide schedule analysis including critical path, float, MS Excel and Power BI insights.
• Lead and coach a team of schedulers, building capability and ensuring quality.
• Support project controls with EVM, change control and data quality discipline.
