Job summary

PlasmaLeap Technologies Pty Ltd invites a seniorTechnical Safety lead to oversee safety across manufacturing, R&D and deployment. You’ll drive hazard analyses, review designs and enforce risk-control measures to enable scalable, safe plasma chemistry applications.

You will collaborate with engineers, scientists and operators, embed safety into project lifecycles, and champion compliance with NSW and Australian standards in a fast-growing clean-chemicals environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical safety, process safety, engineering risk management or safety-critical industrial design.
• Strong ability to translate risk analyses into practical engineering improvements.
• Experience facilitating structured risk studies such as HAZOP, FMEA, bow-tie or What-If reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical safety across manufacturing, workshop, laboratory, R&D and deployment environments with focus on chemical, process, electrical and mechanical risk.
• Lead hazard and design reviews (HAZOP, FMEA, What-If) and strengthen controls.
• Review P&IDs, equipment layouts and control philosophies to identify hazards and improve safety.
