Job summary

PLS is hiring a Process Safety Engineer to lead process safety activities across the Mid-Stream plant in the Pilbara region. You will work with operations, maintenance, engineering and projects to identify hazards, implement proven safeguards and verify their effectiveness.

The role emphasizes practical risk reduction and ownership on site. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Process/Mechanical or Safety Engineering, 5+ years in process safety, and demonstrated

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Safety Engineering.
• Proven experience applying process safety methods in heavy industry.
• Ability to translate risk into practical controls and actions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess process safety hazards across mid-stream circuits.
• Lead or support MOC, PSSR, and risk assessments for changes.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, PFDs, datasheets and operating limits.
• Provide hands-on process safety engineering support to operations and maintenance.
