Job summary

PlasmaLeap Technologies Pty Ltd in Camperdown NSW is seeking a hands-on WHS professional to lead safety across manufacturing, workshop, laboratory and R&D environments.

You will drive risk controls, maintain SWMS, audits and training programs, and champion a proactive safety culture across Australia and internationally as the company scales. This role requires strong communication and the ability to influence engineers, technicians and managers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on WHS experience in a technical, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, laboratory or R&D environment.
• Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards.
• Experience with SWMS, risk assessments, audits, inspections and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on WHS across manufacturing, workshop, laboratory and R&D environments with practical risk controls.
• Maintain and improve HSEQ systems, including SWMS, risk registers and training records.
• Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop training frameworks, competency matrices and evidence records for higher-risk work.
• Coordinate audits, inspections and compliance activities across WHS, quality and environmental obligations.
• Build scalable HSEQ tools for field trials, customer sites and future deployments.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and report to leadership on risks, KPIs and priorities.
