Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Designer - Roads and Highways to drive design across NSW projects from Sydney, Newcastle or Canberra offices. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, apply Austroads standards, and contribute to proposals while delivering high-quality road design models and construction-ready outputs.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design (NSW Supplements)
Experience with road design for Urban, Rural and Motorway projects
Ability to lead design modelling and digital strategy
Experience managing design teams and stakeholders
Familiarity with BIM and digital construction outputs

Responsibilities

Demonstrate understanding of the design development process and coordinate with team members
Apply Austroads design standards and NSW supplements in road design
Lead design teams (designers and drafters) to deliver quality outputs on time and within budget
Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other leads
Prepare data transfers between 3D models and 2D drawings
Contribute to project proposals and bid inputs
Demonstrate TfNSW road infrastructure design experience
Lead road design modelling in joint venture projects
Mentor junior staff
Develop digital strategy for Roads and Highways team
Engage in client meetings and workshops
