Transport for NSW is seeking a Lead Road Designer for a fixed-term full-time role in Newcastle. The role will lead road design activities supporting the Renewable Energy Zone Program (REZ) and coordinate with planners, modellers and the project management team to deliver practical road design solutions.

The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, strong knowledge of NSW road design standards, and experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer, with a proven

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Highly developed knowledge of road design standards, including Transport for NSW standards and requirements.
• Experienced in using road design software; TfNSW uses Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
• Experienced leading the development and review of road designs across strategic, concept and detailed design stages.

Responsabilités

• Lead road design activities that enable the Renewable Energy Zone Program (REZ).
• Coordinate with Transport Planners, Traffic Modellers and Project Management to plan and manage road design solutions.
• Lead tasks and support regional NSW infrastructure projects to improve safety and reduce congestion.
