Job summary

nbn Co Ltd is seeking a Principal, Responsible AI to lead the enterprise-wide Responsible AI strategy, governance and risk oversight. You will chair AI Risk Council, work with senior leaders to embed fairness, transparency and accountability across the AI lifecycle, and translate policy into practical, responsible practices.

You will bring extensive governance, regulatory, security or compliance experience in AI contexts, and influence cross-functional teams to deliver responsible innovation

Qualifications

Experience in governance, compliance, risk, legal, regulatory or security environments.
Strong knowledge of Responsible AI, AI ethics and relevant domestic and international laws and policy.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and evolution of nbn’s Responsible AI strategy, roadmap and governance framework.
Chair the AI Risk Council and collaborate with senior leaders to embed governance across the AI lifecycle.
Oversee implementation of AI governance processes, policies and controls to manage risk and regulatory obligations.
Translate enterprise frameworks into practical, responsible ways of working across teams.
Engage with government and industry stakeholders to support responsible AI adoption.
