Job summary

Design & Build is seeking an experienced Quality Specialist/Lead Auditor to head QA and food safety programs at a fast-paced meat/food production site in Spearwood, Perth. The contract role runs Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, for six months, with opportunities to influence compliance across HACCP, GMP, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Food Science or related field.
• 4+ years' experience in food industry quality systems.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and internal auditing experience.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Background in meat or high-risk food production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site QA and food safety programs.
• Conduct audits, maintain certifications, and close non-conformances.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and regulatory standards.
• Develop SOPs and oversee packaging and labelling compliance.
• Lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor and support QA team members.
