Job summary

Dog and Parrot Tavern, part of ALH Hotels, on the Gold Coast, is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen. This hands-on role combines creative menu development with strong leadership to drive a high-performing team and excellence in pub classics.

Based on the Gold Coast, you will work closely with the Publican and the FOH team to ensure safe, profitable operations and memorable dining experiences for patrons.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring manual handling and ability to perform physical tasks safely.
• Must have trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Command the kitchen to run smoothly, safely, and profitably.
• Be a key part of the leadership crew, working with the Publican and FOH team.
• Share passion and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team.
• Maintain strong kitchen-to-FOH connection with positive vibes and excellent food every shift.
