Job summary

Alfabs Engineering & Services is the flagship division of the ASX-listed Alfabs Group, delivering complex engineering and construction solutions across Infrastructure, Mining, Ports and Construction sectors. A Project Manager is sought to join our Site Services team in Parramatta, Sydney, leading a portfolio of projects with safety, quality and profitability at the forefront.

You will own delivery from tender handover to close-out, drive programme and resources, and cultivate strong client

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing complex construction, infrastructure, structural, mechanical or industrial projects.
• Strong site-based project delivery experience.
• Proven experience managing projects from commencement through to completion.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen, including budgets, forecasting, variations, claims and cost control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts and scopes of work.
• Strong planning, programming and resource management capability.
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing project and site teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
• Proactive approach to risk, problem-solving and decision-making.
• Strong understanding of WHS, quality and compliance requirements.
• Confident to make decisions and take ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end from tender handover through to completion.
• Manage safety, quality, programme, commercial performance and client outcomes.
• Lead and coordinate Project Engineers, Coordinators, Supervisors and site teams.
• Develop detailed project programmes, lookaheads and resource plans.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication and site teams on construction methods.
• Identify and manage project risks, delays and commercial opportunities.
• Manage scope changes and variations with entitlements.
• Forecast labour, plant, materials and subcontractor needs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and key stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and provide visibility of performance, risks and priorities.
• Ensure quality documentation and contractual compliance.
• Champion a strong safety culture on site.
