Job summary

NXTEP seeks a Lead Project Engineer to join a Perth-based owner’s team delivering gold projects from study through commissioning. Based in WA with site presence during construction and commissioning, you will support the Project Manager across multi-disciplinary mining projects.

You will manage engineering, planning and on-site construction, with tendering and package management responsibilities, and liaise with client-side stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering degree in Civil or Mechanical or SMP background.
• Experience in mining/resources sector, local or international projects.
• Proven estimating, tendering, package management and cost/schedule accountability.
• Strong risk and safety leadership with a proactive mitigation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering management, project planning, reporting, and on-site construction support across local and international projects.
• Prepare, evaluate, adjudicate, and award tender and contractor packages.
• Interpret drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes to resolve complex technical issues.
• Liaise with client-side and site stakeholders on technical and project delivery requirements.
• Oversee vendor interfaces, monitor performance, and manage interfaces with contractors and subcontractors.
