Job summary

Rio Tinto Iron Ore seeks a Supervisor Production to lead a large team of operators in a dynamic open pit environment in Western Australia. You will drive safe, productive, and sustainable outcomes while embedding safety, inclusion and continuous improvement in day-to-day practice.

Reporting to the Superintendent Production, you will coordinate daily mine production, optimise equipment utilisation, and coach staff to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in open pit mining.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with HSE standards.
• Ability to coach and develop team performance.
• Unrestricted manual C Class Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of operators to meet production targets.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards compliance.
• Coordinate daily mine production activities.
• Monitor shift performance and adjust to production plans.
• Develop team capability through coaching and training.
• Promote inclusive leadership and accountability.
• Collaborate with maintenance, technical and mining stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
