Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths Ltd in Kalgoorlie is seeking an experienced Processing Supervisor to lead a newly commissioned rare earth processing facility. You will manage a team of process technicians, uphold safety standards and drive production targets in a 12-hour shift pattern.

The role offers occasional FIFO arrangements, a focus on continuous improvement, and opportunities to shape procedures and mentor staff within a growing mining operation.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in processing, chemistry, metallurgy, or related discipline (Diploma or Degree) mandatory.
• Completion of WHS units of competency to hold a statutory position.
• Schedule 26 WHS Mines Regs Statutory Supervisor Exam achievement.
• Experience leading operating teams in a processing plant or refinery.
• Experience in lithium or base metals processing, cracking and leaching is desirable.
• Ability to build relationships with maintenance, technical and environment personnel.
• Strong safety leadership and 12-hour shift management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day processing plant with a team of process technicians.
• Maintain a safe working environment and plant standards.
• Identify and implement safety and production improvements.
• Investigate incidents and ensure operational readiness.
• Plan, train and develop skills for the crew.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures and strategies.
• Take ownership of plant performance and targets.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and clear direction to the team.
