Job summary

ECG Engineering in Perth seeks a Lead Power Systems Engineer to lead design, reports and studies for mining, utilities and renewable energy projects. You will oversee HV power systems design and mentor a growing team across diverse client sectors.

Proficiency with DigSilent PowerFactory and ETAP, willingness to travel, and a track record delivering greenfield and brownfield projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree level electrical engineering qualifications, with specialized power engineering qualifications well regarded.
• Solid electrical engineering experience including knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applications.
• Experience on both greenfields and brownfields projects.
• Strong ability to self-manage in diverse team/project delivery scenarios.
• Willingness and ability to travel with project requirements.
• Exposure to HV power systems design and substations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake power system analysis for clients.
• Design power systems for the mining and power generation industries.
• Preparation and evaluation of tenders.
• Use power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP.
