Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a payroll lead role within a high-growth ASX-listed organisation in Australia. The role focuses on leading the accurate processing of high-volume payrolls and mentoring the payroll team across multiple entities.

You will act as the escalation point for complex payroll and industrial relations queries, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements and modern Awards, while supporting audits and reporting activities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a high-volume environment.
• Experience leading or supervising a payroll team, or coaching others.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and modern Awards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accurate and timely processing of high volume payrolls.
• Supervise and mentor team members across entities.
• Manage payroll activities across multiple entities for consistency and accuracy.
• Escalate complex payroll, remuneration and industrial relations queries.
• Ensure compliance with Awards and legislative requirements.
• Support payroll audits, reconciliations and reporting activities.
• Maintain payroll records in line with statutory obligations.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies.
