Job summary

Georges River Council is seeking an Operations Leader – Painter to lead a small team delivering painting, decorating, surface restoration and graffiti removal across Council facilities. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating daily activities, allocating resources, and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

You will provide guidance, coach team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar leading hand or senior painter role.
• Graffiti removal experience.
• White Card and valid driver's licence are required.
• Ability to perform manual labour and work at heights.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small painting team delivering painting, decorating, surface restoration and graffiti removal across Council facilities and infrastructure.
• Coordinate daily activities, allocate resources and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance, coach and develop team members, and foster a positive, accountable team environment.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to keep projects on track and improve service quality.
