Job summary

Glencore’s Ulan West longwall operation is seeking an Automation Lead to steer and enhance the site-wide automation ecosystem. You will oversee SCADA, PLCs, and OT networks, delivering robust controls for Komatsu equipment and longwall components while working with cross-functional teams.

You will be part of a safety-focused, residential on-site operation based in Ulan West, NSW, with relocation support and career development opportunities provided by Glencore.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of longwall automation and OT networks.

Responsibilities

Lead, drive and develop the Automation across the longwall department to support continuous business improvement.
Deliver world-class management and security of mission-critical mining systems and supporting automation systems across the Ulan West Longwall.
Be part of the first-response team for issues with Longwall automation, OT networks and applications to rapidly restore functionality.
