Job summary

The Department of Education, Western Australia, is seeking a Senior Investigator to support the TRBWA’s investigative capability. The role involves high-level, sensitive investigations, including matters of serious misconduct and impairment, with interviews of witnesses and preparation of briefs for tribunals.

The successful candidate will advise senior stakeholders, contribute to strategy development, and collaborate with key agencies such as WA Police and the Ombudsman.

Qualifications

• Conduct high-level, complex and sensitive investigations.
• Prepare briefs of evidence for tribunals (State Administrative Tribunal, Magistrates Court, TRBWA committees).
• Provide investigative advice and research-informed guidance to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with witnesses, including children.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for TRBWA and related bodies.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (State Solicitors Office, WA Police, Ombudsman).
• Contribute to strategies and methodologies for investigations and discipline management.
