AECOM is seeking a Principal Hydraulic Engineer to lead hydraulic design for buildings, based in Brisbane or Sydney. You will guide junior engineers, review calculations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and client-facing responsibilities within a flexible hybrid work model, supporting diverse projects across Australia.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hydraulic engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes and industry requirements.
• RPEQ/RPEV registration or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Act as Hydraulics Lead on a range of projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead delivery of hydraulic designs and calculations with reviews and sign-off.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints.
• Support the national Hydraulics team across diverse projects and sectors.
• Deliver services including rainwater harvesting, sanitary plumbing, drainage, and potable/non-potable water systems.
