MidCoast Council is seeking a Coordinator GIS and Land Information to lead a skilled technical team and guide the delivery of services that support decision-making across Council and the wider community.

Reporting to the Manager Information Technology, you will lead the GIS and Land Information team, set direction for services and ensure accuracy, reliability and fit for purpose while driving continuous improvement. This is a permanent, full-time role based at Yalawanyi Ganya in Taree.

Formación

• Experience leading a team in a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to drive service improvements and change.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with GIS platforms and land information services.
• Understanding of statutory responsibilities in spatial data management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, support and develop a team of seven, fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate priorities for GIS and Land Information Services, ensuring team activities align with Council's operational plans and organisational goals.
• Inspire and guide team members, encourage new ways of working and support the ongoing development of team capability.
• Build effective relationships across Council and provide clear advice to support informed decision-making and strong organisational outcomes.
• Promote a customer-focused approach, ensuring services are responsive, professional and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
• Plan and prioritise work, manage resources effectively and maintain a strong focus on delivery, quality and accountability.
