Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Manager to provide strategic actuarial consulting in the general insurance space, focusing on long-tail injury schemes such as workers compensation and motor injury. You will lead high-profile projects, deliver insights, and mentor junior team members.

You will collaborate across EY’s Financial Services practice and contribute to business transformation, pricing, risk management, and liability valuation efforts while staying at the forefront of industry regulation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• Progress towards FIAA or similar professional qualification.
• Experience with general insurance actuary (workers compensation, motor injury) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forge trusted client relationships across public and private sectors to enhance community wellbeing.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends; contribute to thought leadership.
• Develop and implement actuarial models and analyze data to extract insights for decision-making.
• Coach and mentor junior staff to foster learning and development.
• Lead process improvements and advance tools and analytics approaches.
• Engage in diverse projects from pricing, capital/risk management to liability valuation.
• Collaborate with EY Financial Services teams across strategy, transactions, tax, technology, and risk.
