Job summary

Westgold Resources in Western Australia is seeking a maintenance fitter to service and repair processing plant equipment. The role involves fault-finding, repairs on mechanical components, and contributing to maintenance planning, all while maintaining high safety standards.

You will hold a C-class WA licence, a relevant trade qualification, and at least 5 years in fixed plant maintenance, with Sag/Ball mill experience and Pronto CMMS exposure.

Qualifications

• Current WA C-class manual driver’s licence.
• Trade qualification relevant to mechanical maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years in a fixed plant maintenance team.
• Experience with Sag/Ball Mill operations.
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• Confined Space Ticket (desirable).
• Working at Heights Ticket (desirable).
• Shut down planning and management experience.
• Sound knowledge of gold processing plants (crushing, milling, gravity, leaching, reagents).
• CMMS experience (Pronto) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service processing plant infrastructure.
• Fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical components (lubrication systems, gearboxes, pumps).
• Identify and diagnose items needing preventative maintenance or repair.
• Participate in maintenance planning activities.
• Maintain detailed maintenance history in Pronto.
• Attend call outs as per roster.
• Collaborate to maintain efficient maintenance processes.
• Provide mentoring and leadership to teams.
• Promote safety and lead by example.
• Liaise with contractors and stakeholders as required.
